By the end of October 2004, two nuclei of students ( NEIIST and NEEI ) and LaGe got together with one specific purpose: to create a pioneer event which would gather students from Computer Science courses from across the country.
The idea was encouraged by professors Artur Ferreira da Silva and António Dias de Figueiredo, who stimulated the implementation of this project from an early stage.
Bearing in mind that the purpose of this event would be the discussion of up-to-date themes related to Computer Science, both the name and image of ENEI 2005 – First National Meeting of Students of Computer Science – came into existence.
Work has begun and the preparation of the event is unrolling at the moment. From logistics to marketing and design, all members are fully committed to lead the largest number of participants to Coimbra on April 23-25, where a various set of themes and activities will be carried out.
Our wish is to convey a sense of balance between the practical and the actual realms of Computer and of all the issues related to this universe. |
